I would love to see Vancouver draft Jack Huges, one pair of brothers out and one in. Something needs to be done in Western Canada, hockey is terrible out there.

I guess they are bad prospects cause they didnt score in their first game playing together with other line mates, on new pp units, and under a new coach. Might as well send them to the KHL after their done ncaa.

The Finnish goalie, Lassi Lehtinen, was also fantastic. No individual shots-on-goal totals available, but the first US power-play unit with Jack and Quinn generated chances like crazy, especially on a second-period five-on-three.

I hope we finish 7th-10th from the bottom and win the lottery on Hughes

With Hayes signing a 1 year deal with NYR I'm curious to see what he fetches at the TDL. He's a quality player, but NY will clearly be desperate to move him for fear of losing him for nothing. He probably doesn't fit our needs but I wonder what it would take to get him

I mean again he doesn't really fit the type of C we are looking for but for arguments sake if we wanted him I would think the way to go about it would be a trade with an agreement to extend. There's no way he'd have any interest in coming here in FA unless we overpaid a ton

The Lightning should continue to monitor the free agent and trade market for right-handed defensemen. Winnipeg Jets Jacob Trouba is one defenseman they should keep their eye on. Justin Faulk and Chris Tanev are two others to watch.
